Are You Prepared for China RoHS 2? Ask the Experts [WEBINAR]

Now that China’s Management Methods for the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products Regulation, also known as China RoHS 2, has been published, companies are asking what the changes will mean for them.

On March 23rd 2016, Assent Compliance’s James Calder hosted a comprehensive webinar on China RoHS 2, discussing changes from the regulation’s original version and how companies need to adapt.

In this webinar, James covered:

  • What’s new with China RoHS 2
  • Where it aligns and differs from EU RoHS
  • The steps your company must take to comply with the new regulation
  • … and more!

The primary change between both versions of the regulation is an expansion in scope. The original scope was the Electronic Information Product (EIP) list. Now, the regulation covers anything that falls under the definition of an electrical product. This aligns China RoHS 2 with the European Union’s (EU) Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive.

Despite this alignment, there remain significant differences between the two regulations. Therefore, companies cannot rely exclusively on their experience and expertise with EU RoHS to help them navigate the China RoHS 2 regulation. Download the webinar to fill in those gaps.
