EU RoHS Directive: Understanding Exemptions, Achieving Compliance

EU RoHS Directive: Understanding Exemptions, Achieving Compliance

Understanding exemptions is the first step for complying with the EU RoHS Directive.

Under the European Union (EU) Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive, substance exemptions allow companies to use certain substances in specific products which would otherwise be restricted. There are over 100 exemptions listed within the directive, each with its own expiration date.

On Thursday, June 15th, Assent Compliance hosted a one hour webinar on RoHS exemptions hosted by Valerie Kuntz, Materials Management Subject Matter Expert.

Listen to the recording and download the slides: RoHS Exemptions webinar.

In this webinar recording, our experts discuss scoping for electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), as well as how to identify and analyze exemption expiration dates and changes (new exemptions, changes, renewal and removal), and what companies can expect from the RoHS Directive in the near future.

It is important for companies to stay on top of their exemptions, be aware of expiry dates and understand the process through which they can apply for an exemption renewal. Download your copy of the webinar today to gain valuable insights into EU RoHS compliance.
