Supply Chain Summit Series Kicks Off in London, Chicago and San Diego to Follow

Compliance professionals from around the world gathered in London on September 27 and 28 for the Supply Chain Summit Series: London Edition. Attendees of the two-day conference enjoyed a diverse agenda, with presentations and workshops on supply chain compliance, due diligence and education. Upcoming Summit Series locations include Chicago and San Diego in November and February, respectively.

Sessions on day one were focused on product compliance, with topics including the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Regulation, the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive, and material declaration standards. Day two was centered on corporate social responsibility (CSR), with sessions on sustainable investment, global conflict minerals, human trafficking and slavery, and bribery and corruption risk management.

Cross-cutting issues throughout the conference included how to strengthen supplier engagement in compliance, generate strong buy-in, and best practices for building a successful compliance program with limited resources.
